While in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday, August 8th on his The Search For Everything World Tour, John Mayer took a moment to honor the late Glen Campbell by covering his classic song, “Gentle On My Mind.”
“I’m going to play this song with more love than precision,” Mayer said. “I’m going to play it because it’s my favorite song in the world. It was performed by Glen Campbell, who sadly passed away today. Whether I play it right or wrong, I’d rather have played it.”
