Press Release:
Expired coupons and gift cards will find new life next month at the 67 Applebee’s restaurants in Texas operated by a Dallas-based franchise.
During the restaurateur’s March promotion, it plans to accept any gift card or coupon from any business, expired or not. The cards and coupons are good for up to half off of the food’s cost.
“We realized a number of people have either expired gift cards, gift certificates, or coupons, to places that they do not care to visit,” Chris Dharod, chief operating officer of the Apple Texas franchise group, said in a statement. The franchise company is a subsidiary of SSCP Management, owned by Dallas businessman Sunil Dharod. “So we had the idea to accept these at all our neighborhood Applebee’s.”
Some chains that offer deep discounts forsake profit margins today in the hope of creating repeat customers.
“We know that when our neighbors taste our food and relax in our atmosphere, they will become Applebee’s fans for life,” Dharod said. “This is an opportunity for us and them.”
All 67 Applebee’s in North Texas, Houston, Austin, Waco, East Texas, and surrounding locations will accept the coupons and gift cards. The offer can not be combined with any other Applebee’s discounted offer and does not apply to alcohol.
All Austin-area Applebee’s are participating, including:
6315 S Interstate Highway 35, Austin
5010 West Highway 290, Austin
7522 N I-35 Service Rd S, Austin
501 US Hwy. 290 West, Brenham
11013 Lakeline Mall Drive, Cedar Park
350 S Interstate Highway 35, Georgetown
2700 Parker Rd Ste A, Round Rock
103 Carlos G Parker Blvd NW, Taylor
Customers are urged to call their Applebee’s of choice for more details.
