Cody Johnson has joined the ‘Take Care of Texas” campaign with a new Public Service Announcement.
“It was such an honor to be a part of something so special,” says Johnson. “It’s up to us to preserve the quality of air and water in Texas for future generations.”
Take Care of Texas is a statewide campaign from the TCEQ that provides helpful information on Texas’ successes in environmental protection and encourages all Texans to help keep our air and water clean, conserve water and energy, and reduce waste.
Cody Johnson grew up in Sebastopol, Texas, an unincorporated community on the eastern shore of the Trinity River. Johnson has released four albums as he wins over fans with his honest songs and on-stage ferocity. After the release of his third album, he won New Male Vocalist of the Year in the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards. The band has broken beyond the red-dirt confines, drawing sizable audiences in such far-flung destinations as California, Montana, Wisconsin, and the Southeast. Johnson has also built up a Twitter following of more than 200,000 fans—impressive numbers for a guy who’s marketed and developed his career without the aid of a major label. In March 2018, Johnson made history as the only unsigned artist to sell out NRG Stadium at RodeoHouston.
