A guy named Ameer Krass who owns the gas station in Riverdale, New Jersey where last week’s $521 million dollar winning lottery ticket was bought is also getting a $30,000 check from the lottery for selling it.
Instead of keeping all that money for himself, Krass is splitting it with his EMPLOYEES!
He actually promised them he’d do it BEFORE he knew how much he was getting. He says he didn’t realize it would be such a big check … but he is following through on his promise anyway.
Krass says the Mega Millions winner, who has not yet come forward, is a regular customer he is familiar with.
The lucky numbers were 59 – 46 – 28 – 11 – 31, Mega Ball 1. It is the fourth largest jackpot in the history of the game after no one had matched all six numbers drawn since January.
The odds of picking the correct numbers on five white balls and one yellow ball in the Mega Millions game are one in 259 million. For Powerball, it’s one in roughly 292 million.
Mega Millions tickets are sold in 43 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
