DETAILS: Round Rock’s Operation Front Porch

Round Rock Police bring back Operation Front Porch for year two. Round Rock residents can ship packages to the PD for safe keeping during this Holiday season. The program is one of many ways to prevent package theft during the Holidays. Every package sent to the PD is one less opportunity for theft, allowing police officers to focus on higher priority issues.
The free service runs Nov. 1 through Dec. 22. Packages should be shipped to your name and our address: 2701 North Mays Street, Round Rock, TX 78665.
Click HERE for pick-up times and HERE for the PSA.
Operation Front Porch began in 2017 and about 30 packages were shipped to the PD over 22 days. There were 13 reported package thefts in December 2016 and four in December 2017.
If you purchase gifts on Craiglist or other exchange websites, you can make the transaction in the Safety Exchange Zones in our lobby and public parking lot. This service is available year-round.
