Being a member of the Austin area community comes with a great deal of responsibility and an even greater sense of purpose. Austin is home to the best of the best in the world, whether its live music, tech, food, or sense of community. Few places can say they have that true Austin spirit, but Eddie and his lucky daughters are part of a minority of Austinites who can say that they were born, raised, and thrive in the Austin area. Being a true Austinite, and running a family owned and operated Austin business allows Eddie, and his team the opportunity to give back to their city in an incredible way.
Capitol Cleaners, is a long time running sponsor of Rodeo Austin, one of the top Rodeos in the country. The long standing tradition of the Rodeo is one that any proud Texan not only understands but remembers from their own childhood. Eddie feels a sense of responsibility to help keep this Texas tradition alive and pass it along to the next generation of cowboys. Capitol Cleaners contributions are specifically targeted to the youth program scholarships. Along with financial contributions, Eddie gives his time to Rodeo Austin, most recently serving as the Rodeo President and his daughter, Ashley, being a board member for the past 5 years.
Along with the above, Capitol Cleaners hosts the annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament every February, which donates all proceeds to 4H and FFA programs helping bring in the next generation of farmers, ranchers and land lovers into higher education.
